Get yourself a Free album download from Tunetribe.com

Post by bubbles19 on Sun 7 Feb 2010 - 23:14

The title says it all.

This offer was available through tunechecker.com but due to the sheer volume of traffic the tunetribe website couldn't cope so you can now send an email as below and hopefully this week you will get a code to get your free album.

10,000 free album downloads

Updated 4.30pm Friday 5 February...
Tunechecker has blagged 15,000 totally free top album MP3 from Tunetribe, at the last update time there are still 13,500 left.

How to get one.

Simply email albumoffer@tunetribe.com with just your email address in the subject line and a unique code will be sent out next week enabling you to download one of the free albums. Tunetribe has promised it will not add these emails to its marketing database.

The albums are available on a first come first served basis, though we will aim to update this note when they're gone.

What albums are available?

There are around 100 available, including:
Alexandra Burke: Overcome
Beyoncé: I AM...SASHA FIERCE
Editors: The Back Room
Foo Fighters: Greatest Hits
JLS: JLS
Kings Of Leon: Only By The Night
MGMT: Oracular Spectacular
Michael Jackson: Number Ones
Susan Boyle: I Dreamed A Dream
Take That: Take That Greatest Hits

The full list will be sent with the email

Warning! Ensure you're getting the maximum value

Before you choose your album, check what you would need to pay if you bought it - using our cheapest MP3 and CD comparison.

Then if you're planning to buy it and others, get the freebie that would cost you the most if you paid direct.

Why is Tunetribe doing this?

Originally this deal was meant to be available direct from the Tunetribe site, yet it couldn't cope with the massive traffic from the MSE weekly email (it was warned!) so it has set up the email system as an alternative (and an extra 5,000 albums added).

Like many of these promotions its aim was to build its database of customers, and of course implicit in getting the download you have to sign up to it - though it has promised via the emergency email system that won't happen (though of course you'll need to go to its site to download the track and it hopes that will open it up to more customers)
