Two new features. + more too ;)
Two new features.
Hi
When making a post you can now.
Alert fellow members to the fact that your thread is download related (therefore contains download(s) etc).
Also if a member posts a problem, which is/has been solved.
You can mark as such.
The 1st feature (DOWNLOADS) is accessable by all.
The 2nd feature (Solved) by those who have Mod like powers (Team Members etc).
So basically if you can see it, you can use it.
N.B. You can only use one or the other (apart from leaving it blank of course).
As usual any comments welcome.

Re: Two new features. + more too ;)
Hi
Question for you all.
The download button, isn't quite what I intended.
So the alternative is the have the button in the smileys.
Use the site url.
You then add the d/l button much like you would a smiley.
Delete this address & paste your link.
So the question is
Would this work or is it too much trouble?
If you think it worth I could then use the same approach for url links.
So a button identical to "Solved" & "Download", but saying just "Link".
Your thoughts, please.
TIA
Alternative is to have the icons in the smiles.
You would then just add the icons followed by the link.
i.e.
Instead of end result =
You would have
http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html
Link would then =
http://www.slysoft.com/en/
The latter being very straight forward.
Not to bad to look @
Would certainly highlight the url.

Hi
Have already put the icons in with the smilies.
So you can try them out.
Alternative just type
:(download):
:(link):
Without brackets.
See example of how it looks.

Hi
2 become 3.
I have removed Download from Topics.
Replaced the icon via the smilies.
Have added Link & Thanks button by the same method.
It looks good to me.
But do feel free to express your opinion.

Did see that you have gone daft with the :thanx: already
- I think the thanks button is a nice touch as it is visible & stands out rather than just a thin green bar near the top of the post.

Hi
The only thing is that the thin green line (when voting positive) [this would be red if negative].
Adds points to a members Reputation.
So the green or red, merely show you that you have given or taken reputation points from that member.
Others will not see your "vote" for or against.
This "Thanks" button new.
Just does that.
Thanks
Will not affect a users rep at all.
The original Thanks button will give rep points.
But can only be used by thread starter.
Plus only allows for a single post to be thanked.
So if you post asking for info.
Gets lots of very good posts.
You can only thanks one poster.
They will gets points too.
All other posters would miss out.
The new Thanks can be used as much/often as you like.
But gives no points.
But personally I think it is a nice touch.
Enabling you to thank all in a thread individually.
If you believe it is merited.

Hi
Added Warning System.
Normally used by mods to warn folk who sail close to the wind.
As most of you have mod like powers.
You can probably set your own level.
See "Profile".
Please don't set anyone else's.
Use for yourself for fun!
You could join me "Banned".
