Re: Snow

Post by 4hams on Fri 12 Feb 2010 - 2:58

Snow is something I have been very acustomed to living in the Toronto area all my life. But this has to be the easiest winter ever in the Toronto area.

We have had maybe 2 snowfalls this year and only had maybe 2 inches the other day. I wish every winter were like this.

our winters are usually very much like the winters you get Sith.

That said... ours has been pretty mild too... not like the last two years with 100+ inches per season (ugh... knock on wood... might have spoke too soon)

The novelty has worn off a long time ago now lol!

-6.5 yesterday morning, a covering of snow last night but it was still -4.5 this morning.

I think it might be time to emigrate to the Antartic rotflmao

Great weather down here most of the year. largegr

Think global warming is a load of BS, just like the Y2K bug was.

Then again I could be wrong. Smile Smile

I'm betting you don't get a lot of snow in NC... Winter is at an end in WI, but I'll let you know when you can come up and visit and make all the snow angels you want (if you're flight does not get delayed or canceled to Milwaukee - Mitchell or Chicago - O'hare)... Me, I want to get away from Winters for good!!!

No, Not in the region I live in. This end of the state is too warm... though in winter we get to the 30's or lower but the moisture just doesn't make it ove this far on account of the mountains to the west and the ocean to the east. If I lived closer to the mountains and the northwestern end of the state I would see a normal winter.. well a winter i am accustomed to. I am originally from Buffalo, NY....snow city! Yes I can understand the need to be away fromt eh snow.. fun to play in but not fun to shovel or drive in... but i miss it. I miss my white Christmases, I miss the desire to cuddle up in my bed because it's snowing hard outside, miss making snowmen and snow angels... sigh. Guess I will always be a northerner at heart. I love you
