Got it in WI USA a little over a week ago and more on the way tomorrow. Ugh... can't wait for spring already!

Had a couple of showers yesterday in Elgin but it didn't stay as the ground was too wet. The car is white today but only just.

Out of town and in the usual places to get the snow it has arrived

Well like lots of people we had loads of snow overnight, inches of the stuff.
Roll on the spring like SithTracy said.
I used to like the snow at Christmas, showing my age now.

Post by bubbles19 on Sun 20 Dec 2009 - 8:44

well yesterday it started to snow with us - not a huge amount but a good covering - however mid afternoon the temp dropped to 0 degree's and a wind got up - not sure what the wind chill would have been but it was cold enough for all the snow that had been turning to slush to freeze and make most of the roads little a bottle

Woke up this morning with another good covering but at least most of the ice beneath has gone.

Its snowing quite heavily here at present but with any luck it won't last. I am not holding my breath though.

It started snowing again mid-morning and we got a real good covering this time - starting to melt a wee bit though, but the temp has dropped again so it will probably turn to ice again Shocked

Roads are mainly clear here but where they didn't grit it has all turned to ice. Pavements are treacherous so I will have to take extra care when coming back from the pub.

Just got back from a lunch time spell with my old work mates and I appear to have lost either stamina or the use of my legs. I swear it was not this icy when I went out.
Wishing you all the very best for Christmas and the New Year.

Re: Snow

Post by bubbles19 on Wed 30 Dec 2009 - 10:25

well we had another couple of shower's during the day yesterday with the temp being -3.5 in the morning.

Had another shower in the evening & had to go out to Asda - Temp down to -6 and the back end of the car was going on every round about there & back.

Had another drop overnight so we are still white (temp has now climbed above 0 so the big thaw might be on it's way) but may of the roads & pavements have still not been touched since it all arrived over 10 days ago Shocked

Wouldn't be so bad but the local Authority for Moray are based in our town - In fact the roads depot is about 10mins walk from me help_up_2bigmove
