I don't have any vampire stories, but my river birch tree is home to some bats in the summer months... I guess they seek to eat our vampire state bird at dusk... The Mosquito!

Well bats are very beneficial that way! But is you have fruit trees they can be a nuisance. Gotta watch the chimney if you have a fireplace though.. they can nest up in it and clog the flue up. cat

That is a big deal. My mother almost severed her foot just above the ankle. They wanted to take her leg below the knee (infection). I wouldn't let them. It took 2 years of therapy, but she walks pretty good now. Tell your mom not to give up!

Wow that must have been awful too! I don't know how long this is going to be for her. So far it has been an 8 month roller coaster ride for all of us and especially for her. Unfortunately she has just three weeks under medicare coverage for inpatient rehab. I hope that after that she will be able to continue therapy for longer if they re-evaluate her (I hope). But if not then other options will have to be explored. Even if she comes home and has home health come to help out and she goes to outpatient physical therapy i bet she could do it! I am just so tickled that she took 10 steps! Unfortunately today being sunday she doesn't get therapy today, but she will all next week and the week after. Still praying for a miracle for her. sunny
