Re: Toyota Prius driver uses police car to stop
Toyota is frustrating the hell out of me. I have nothing against them. Even though I have never actually owned one, I have always thought of them as a exceptional car company. I keep waiting for them to turn this thing around, but every time I turn on the news, internet or email there is another story like this one. What the hell, Toyota? What the hell is going on? Maybe if you allow the NTSB access your stupid black box data, we can help you? They are hiding something and had better start fixing the problems faster than they are being reported soon.

Sure someone told me it was Lite-on that had something to do with the software/code for these cars.........nuff said
But agree with you Savage, Toyota need to fix this sooner rather than later.

Hello
The problem with that is you have to apply the footbrake > select the electric brake > select park > push the start/stop button.
Before you can remove the electronic key.
Which in drive modes is locked in.
I haven't been able to remove key when I tried in any other mode.
But then in theory why would you?
N.B. I believe it was me who implied the s/w updates were via Lite-On..................

Could be
2005 car - sounds like the driver wanted a new car and figured he could blame Toyota for his crash
