About to move

well move from using the dining & kitchen tables for work into what has now become the spare room since eldest daughter is in Glasgow at Uni.

Have custom built a work space and it is almost finished (might post some pics when done).

Hopefully get in there and working tomorrow or Tuesday - only problem Daughter is back from Uni on Saturday for 2 weeks or so due to Holidays so I will probably be back to the kitchen table again

I have a Belkin KVM that I bought 3 years ago and will utilize this so I have the burning PC & laptop through the 1 monitor/keyboard/mouse but have had to order a PS2 to USB adapter as laptops no longer come with PS2 ports.

found one on Amazon for £1.32 with free shipping (sold & shipped via CDL Micro) - decided to go to CDL direct only to find the same part direct was over £4 - didn't bother checking the shipping costs on the way back to Amazon

We're lucky.
We've got a study. All the computer gear and the wifes crafty stuff can be stored in this one room and we can shut the door on all the mess inside.

Well we have 2 'spare' bedrooms since the kids left home but with one set up as a guest room. We had the loft insulated again this summer so everything had to come out and guess what....I still haven't found storage space for most of the stuff that was up there. Still, I can just squeeze into the one with the computers in so it's not all bad I suppose.

You could buy a shed Alex, of course you'd have to heat it in this weather.
Now, whether you use it a workplace or a spare room is up to you.

That's what happens with kid/s - you end up with so much extra stuff that you need to move
