Ice Age 3 Dawn of the Dinosaurs
Just bought this DVD for my Grandson (via Santa of course).
This is the first DVD that I have seen where it comes with a digital copy to download onto your I Pod or computer via media player without having to decrypt etc. Have I just been avoiding these films or is this the new 'norm'.

I have seen one or two others with this over the last few months but haven't bought them.
Would be interesting to see if there is any noticeable difference in quality between the download one and converting the dvd yourself

Interesting , guessing it would be the best possible option running in DIVX or a type of AVI are the best quality you can use.
Be interesting to see the quality , format and whether you could do one the same from the original.

Re: Ice Age 3 Dawn of the Dinosaurs
My father (67 years old) owns an iTouch and while I was visiting in Alabama I purchased the "Watchmen" movie with a digital copy option... The quality was good for that little screen and he watched it on his plane ride back to Arizona. I just have no desire to watch a firm on a 3" screen. If the digital copy is formatted in a way that it looks spectacular on a large screen HDTV, and I can watch it off of a USB stick or SD card, then I am interested.

Re: Ice Age 3 Dawn of the Dinosaurs
Just downloaded the Windows media player version straight from the disc and it has lost some quality when viewed on my 22" wide screed monitor but it is perfectly watchable. I would not want to go any larger than this though.
