I'm not upset with the outcome of the Olympic Hockey Gold Medal game... It was an outstanding hard fought event and in overtime, Canada prevailed. They were two evenly matched teams and it could have went either way. Congrats to Canada on the Gold!!! As a hockey fan, this has been a wonderful two weeks. Sure, I wish the puck would have bounced the other way, but the American team was outstanding... I stayed up late to watch the Bronze medal game too... Another great battle. Team Finland came back from two goals down in the third to win it 5 - 3 (4 goals in the final period).

Hockey is a fast and wonderful sport. I'll bet this Olympic year has earned the NHL some new fans as a result.

Congrats again to Canada.

Unless you have the package on foxtel (I don't have it) you have to rely on the free to air stations to do the right thing.... didn't !!
I'll have to put up with a piddly couple of highlights on the news tonight.
I always liked the game, but more so now after watching extended highlights of other games
What I like about it is that it's almost non stop for the quarter. Am I right ?
One of our stations created a sports channel (digital reception only) has a lot of good ones on it, but no hockey.

As a Canadian i am very proud of the outcome but it was definately a nail biter... I was so tense at the end of the 3rd period and then overtime I almost had a heart attack. Congrats go out to the U.S. Mens team as well a very hard faught game!

I am most proud of the fact that Canada has also broken the record for most Gold medals ever won by one country in the winter olympics 14 one more than the previous title holders whom I believe were the Russians?

Well almost. It is pretty much non stop but they are called periods and there are only 3 of them.

I wish we covered your surfing events so we could see all your bikini clad beauties. Very Happy

Ah, this channel does have surfing. And yes, there are some nice looking young lasses shown.
Has anyone seen any IPL games? These are twenty/20 games of cricket. IPL stands for Indian premier League. Held in India (obviously). They "hire" players from other countries to play these 'hit and giggle' games interspersed with indian players. Good money for the fringe players. Great for the masses as a spectacle, but no tactics.
I'd gladly swap it for some hockey games !!!
