This will be like the equivalent of the CO-OPERATIVE INSURANCE CUP in Scotland. It is not the big one of the season ie Scottish / FA Cup but it is always nice to add another trophy to the cabinet and even better if your team can do the treble dan1

Heard on the BBC commentary that although Man U have managed to retain League titles in the past this is the 1st time they have managed to retain a Cup Trophy

Yeah it is - but something like 33 Trophies during his career at Man U - speaks for itself. Some will say it is all to do with the players but he had a real good spell at Aberdeen before heading south. Since those days Aberdeen have fallen way behind the Glasgow teams.
