Hi
Just when you thought it was safe too.......
I use mainly IE8 followed closely by Opera with FF trailing in 3rd place.
Have tried Google Chrome, Maxthon, Avant & Sleipnir.
Oh & in the old days tried something called Netscape.

Hi
Latest browser usage chart for this forum.

Opera is doing quite well.
Especially in Germany (not related to this forum).

Re: Which browser? (Multi choice)
I'm honestly shocked that there are not more FF users...I can't stand IE 7 or 8. I only use IE 8 for sites that I am forced to use it as Opera or FF are not supported.

Hi
It is interesting as I assumed going by polls/comments there would be more FF users.
Like as high as 75/80%.
Above implies about a third (if that).
As google chrome doesn't even show.
Reality probably makes it about 40%.
Re: Which browser? (Multi choice)
Well it is all personal preference, but I agree with you based on the comments, I expected more FF users.

Re: Which browser? (Multi choice)
Well I have been using FF since before IE7 came out. One of the things that attracted me to it (apart from the fact it was not from MS
) was the ability for multi tabs. In the early days I did fire a number of plugins at it but don't really need or use them these days.
I have also been playing with Chrome for a few weeks now and am impressed with the performance, although there are the odd sites that don't work as well as with FF.
Have IE8 on the PC but the Missus uses that m/c mostly these days and IE8 ain't supported through work so if we have problems....tough.
The worrying thing about your poll Zeb is that you have had 3 posts, 3 votes have said they are not taking part and 2 don't know what a browser is

Hi
Just for Alex.
Opera slips into being just one of the "Others".
While Google Chrome charts.

Re: Which browser? (Multi choice)
Question: which do you guys prefer most as the most functional web browser, Firefox or Internet Explorer? I am toying with the idea of loading up Fire Fox on my laptop as that was what was once on my Rigg.. but the ex preferred it, which was why it was there.. I liked it alot too. Just hunting for good info.. i see a lot here already but need some more opinions on functionality.

I prefer Firefox for the extensions/plug-ins. That said there others out there. Opera, Google Chrome and Apple Safari.
I use Firefox with NoScript and Adblock Plus plug-ins.
