Concerts

Post by Alby on Tue 23 Mar 2010 - 18:44

The missus is taking the twins up to Melbourne tonight to the Lady GaGa concert. They've been to a few lately. The last one was Britney's mime show.
Can't stand this type of music but the girls love it. My only big one was Midnight Oil back in the 80's. I wouldn't mind seeing Green Day live.
Give me your big time acts you've seen live.... and when .

Back in the 80's we saw U2 and Bon Jovi. Saw the Red Hot Chilli Pepper's in the early 90's as well in college. I also saw Def Lepard fairly recently (I think 2000). That's it...I have been to very few concerts. I love music though.

The last concert I saw was on Jovi back in 1993 I think when they were still on their first high note of popularity. I am not crazy about Lady Gaga and Britney Spears.. music isn't genuine to me. They have too much glam in thier style and no heart.

Think the last show I saw was one of the KISS farewell tours... Seen so many shows in the 80's - 90's (KISS, Def Leppard, Slayer, Metallica, Jeff Healy, Megadeth, Aerosmith, Iron Maiden... everything that was once good)... Now that I am older with kids, I almost had to see the Jonas Brothers but got out of that one!!!

My daughter went to see them (Jonas Brothers)with the wife (and another mom/daughter) not too long ago. I love my daughter, but there was no way I was going to that concert.

Night Ranger. Air Supply, early 80's, Triumph, early 80's. David Wilcox, Awesome in the mid 80's at a clucb what a blast.

Hottie and the Blowfish I think around 2000 and it was an awesome concert!

One of the Guess Who reunion tours at the Molson Amphatheatre in Toronto around 2001 and was a fantastic concert. the aroma in the air made me feel like a kid again.

April Wine many times at the old ENTEX night Clucb just outside Toronto, same as Cony Hatch and Trooper.
