Hello

I am wondering if Chatbox should be visible all the time.
As this is a free forum, there are limits to the options.
You can have a Chatbox is the first.
You can make Chatbox visible. (Like it is now.)
You can have Chatbox invisible.
Basically you then just have a link to click.
When using this option the Chatbox is full page (opens separately to the forum).
So instead of scrolling like now.
You switch pages.
Of course finally, you can opt to have no Chatbox.
Am inviting folk to post their opinions.
(Was tempted to have a "zebadee poll"...... affraid

The chatbox is a good idea as hopefully it will encourage members to chat rather than just post & go - especially as the forum grows.

If a member wants to chat about anything that they don't want visible on an open forum/chatbox then the best option will be to use MSN or some other chat client.

not sure if it makes much difference to have the chatbox open all the time or just have a link so you need to be logged into see chat dialogue

I left out the fact that visible has two options.
Top of the page (I personally feel it if have Chatbox visible. It can be distracting.).
Bottom of page. So if you are not interested, you just don't scroll down that far. Laughing

Full page.

Even when using visible, you can go full page by clicking on the Chatbox button.

in that case invisible looks like a good option - and you can see when someone else is on the Chatbox as well.

picked you up wrong as when invisible I thought you wouldn't even see when others were logged on Rolling Eyes

Hello

No it just means that the Chatbox it self goes to new tab by default.
So it means you don't have to load it on the homepage everytime.
