Here is a tweak for Vista and Xp users:
SHUT DOWN WINDOWS WITH ONE CLICK
1. Right click on a clear space on the Desktop and then click NEW > Shortcut
2. Click Browse and select the file C:\Windows\System32\Shutdown.exe
3. Click next
4. Type a name for the shortcut (e.g. Shutdown) and then click finish
5. Right click on the new shortcut and then click Properties
6 In the Target Box, edit the entry to C:\Windows\System32\Shutdown.exe -s -t 10 -c "Shutting down"
7. Click OK to close the dialogue

The command line switched have the following meanings:
-s = shut down
-t nn = time to shutdown in seconds for any value above Zero (In the example I have made it 10 seconds)Windows will display a warning and count down the number of seconds before activating shutdown
-c "Your text" Any comment of your choice to be displayed at shutdown Thumbs up
