Speaking of sleep, I had a quick shot of some Grappa (made by a friends grandfather) last night. Magnificent drop but potent !! Had shocking nights' sleep. Feel very average at present.

Yeah, I was waiting for that.
Well... we've got our moment of truth tonight.
Got our work cut out to get over the Maggies.
I think we might miss Mackie and more so Max Rooke who is a hard tackling forward..
The only good side of us losing will be... I can relax next week and actually enjoy watching the final and hope the Saints beat Collingwood !! Still hoping for our boys.
One more... I think Gary Ablett jnr will go to the Gold Coast next season. We'll findout in a week or two.

I see where you're coming from Sanshoe but I think that's what make our game unique. Mind you, if scores are tied this Saturday by final siren, it'll be 5 minutes each end. I doubt it though.

Watch any grand finals ?
I spent all Saturday outside in my garden with the radio. Didn't watch one second of the final.
I predicted a blow-out didn't I. Pity it was Collingwood.
Looks like the same thing happened in the Rugby. Don't mind the Dragons. Who were you hoping for mate?
I did spend half the day watching the World champion Cycle road race (in Geelong !!)
Anybody else watch it ? No wonder these guys earn big bucks. So fit !! Got hooked watching it.

We've lost the art of conversation.
What's on for the weekend mate?
I'm here at work til around 10:45am, hastily get into my whites and speed over to the seasons first game of cricket. a one-dayer. Club's a bit short of players this round, so instead of playing in the 5ths with guys my age, I'm in the 3rds playing against kids half my age. Hopefully open the batting and field in slips. less running for old AL Pal... ha ha!!
Then have to come into work again tomorrow morning for a few hours while some construction workers try running a conveyor belt.
Probably mow mum-In-law's lawns and finish the day with a bike ride with my daughters.

Just back from golf, Monthly Medal today had 1 bad hole and I'm out of it. What a crappy game it is..lol
Don't get out for a duck that would be embarrasing.
We're doing well in the Commonwealth games, we always do when the European and the US of A aren't there, good to see a few new faces in the swimming, a good lead in for the Olympics in two years.

Well .... guess what !!
That's exactly what happened. Their opening bowlers were on the spot and hard to get away. then their captain bowling nagging slow out-swing hit a spot on the pitch and shot along the ground and under my bat, then the death rattle of the stumps !!
Ah well.
Some young faces in squad is great. What about Geoff Hugel (hopefully spelt right). Great comeback.

At my age mate...
I'm just happy to get out on the park and enjoy myself. The captain looked after me by leaving me at 1st slip for their innings. Nothing came my way.
Oh, by the way, we got thumped ! Only made 51 and they got them 2 wickets down. That allowed us an early finish and went back to our clubrooms for a few 'sherbs' and watch our 1sts' play.

Seeing as you found a spelling fault on the Ultimate main page, I thought I'd point out one on this page..Think there is a k missing, Sorry mate, but life's tough at the top.. lol!
