Hello
It is when you are relegated to the garage to watch TV that all this will pale into insignificance.

My wife read those Twilight vampy books and loved them... I watched the movies with her... thought they both sucked. I did like the Underworld movies though. Vamps are not supposed to be day walkers dammit!!! I am unforgiving of that alone and is enough to make me dislike Twilight.

Me too! It's been a very long haul for all of us here. I just hope she does get to walk again. Rehab is going to be grueling for her.. 5-6 hours a day. 3hrs in the morning then 2-3hrs after lunch and we are not allowed to be there for her therapy which is making my dad nervous because he's been helping her with exercises and she tends to be whiney because everything hurts from disuse.

Well you're a guy.. you're not expected to like a teenage love story!
The books are definitely better.. and they are definitely aimed at chicks! How many times has your wife read the books? I bet more than once!
(smirk, giggle) I like the underworld movie too... Queen of the Damned is good too.. Lestat is my favorite Vampire character in Ann Rice's world.

The wife and daughters say the same. Books are great, movies very average.
They also enjoyed the Underworlds, Queen of the Damned etc.

I like Dan Brown's books... much better than the movies Ron Howard did on them. Still, I will probably see his interpretation of The Lost Symbol... I expect the visuals and filming of D.C. to be spectacular even if the movie isn't.
Tonight, I watched "The Blind Side"... Very enjoyable... Decided to put it in after watching Huet in net tonight... ugh... Looks like I made a good choice. Hawks lost 8 - 3 to Columbus... ugh.

Woops !!
Sith, you beat me on both counts, I was going to ask about the hockey.
But also mention Dan Brown.
I read the DaVinci Code before watching the movie. The book was great, the movie....it was ok. I'm currently reading Angels & Demons before having a squiz at the movie. Enjoying the book. How was the movie? Lost Symbol will be next.

Angels and Demons is my fav Dan Brown book, that said, the movie was worth one view. I really enjoyed The Lost Symbol too. His first book, Digital Fortress was great... until the end. I was like "Come on already!!!"... As a techie, it was a stretch, but overall an entertaining read.

too bad they weren't real.. could use a nice raspberry wheat lager... local micro-brewery makes it and it is very nice to drink.

just seen the price of some of the eggs this year

Re: What have you done today?
Well today I have been under the bonnet of the wifes car. Wipers have been playing up the last few days and this has been the 1st day I have been able to look at it, that and it is dry today
- works fine when you have them going all the time but they stick halfway through a sweep if on intermittent.
Went to the local dealer thinking it might be the relay but they are 99% confident it is the motor which they want £120 + £60 fitting for
Have managed to track down one from a breakers yard 30 miles away complete with the full linkage for £60 + Vat
Wonder what I'll be doing either this afternoon or on my Bank Holiday Monday off

Re: What have you done today?
Well went and got the parts today - £70 in total.
came home and got them fitted in less than 1hr..........and more surprisingly - it works
Wonder if I can keep the £110 I saved as pocket money

Re: What have you done today?
Monday morning here (public hol.)and in at work doing a spot check on the plant. Hose clean screens, empty a very full coarse screen bin (you don't want to know what's in it !) Check plant trends. All is well so once I finish here I'll head home through a couple of coastal towns 'chock-a-block' with rubber necks and cyclist riding 2 to 4 abreast on the open roads (fools!). I like riding my bike, but not like that !!
Get home and finish my cat enclosure... Yeah !!and listen to the footy.
Yesterday, the tribe took M.I.Law for a picnic down to Queenscliff. Found a quiet spot next to the rails and watched a couple of old steam trains go past. Been a great Easter weather-wise.

Re: What have you done today?
Have a fairly good idea what's in your coarse screen bill having had to unblock our drains a few times
Sounds like you are planning on a lazy afternoon - unless you get called out of course
BTW - did you bring the mother in law back with you ?
